General Information:

Students of Exeleration Writing come from the greater San Jose area: Almaden Valley, South San Jose, Blossom Valley, San Jose, Cupertino, Campbell, Everygreen, Milpitas, Fremont, Palo Alto and San Francisco Bay Area (Silicon Valley), California 

q       The focus of Beginning and Intermediate classes is writing.  Selected grammar topics and vocabulary development are also included, as these are essential to good writing. Occasional short readings will also be used.  Class is 1 ½ hours per week; students should also expect to spend about 1½ hours to complete assignments at home. 

q       SAT class helps students prepare for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the SATI exam, including vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, essay, and test-taking skills.  Class is 3 hours/week; assigned homework is about 2 hours/week.

q       Students should come prepared with pencils/pens and eraser, the books or materials that have been provided to them for this class, and completed homework.

q       1 ½ hour classes have a 5 minute break after about 55 minutes; three hour classes will have one or two short breaks.
